I think she is adorable with her haircut. Rather than looking like a boy she reminds of a typical little girl in the early 60's with a "pixie" haircut.

You don't have to cut the hair. I mean come on guys, like there have actually been boys out there without 2 inch long hair.
I mean, some of you act like you've never seen a guy with hair past his chin. Besides, if you made him a colonial or rennaissance boy, well the long hair would be more appropriate.
I think the face molds work very well as boys. Or are they to 'pretty'?? My god. There are pretty boys out there. Actual human specimans. That have prettier features than some women. It's not like women are the only pretty human beings. Geez.

I swear, sometimes I get the feeling that since my boys don't all have butched off hair, some of you are like, that's not boyish, what a moron. I've also notcied that when I post someting about a boy, there's not very many responses, but if I post something about a girl, I always get more.

If long hair symbolizes a boy for you then there is nothing wrong with that , however for us *our* boy would need short hair. It's all a matter of preference.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. We will be searching for the perfect *boy* doll! DD is so anxious to do it that she doesnt care as long as he has blue eyes, but I really thing that Kirsten's or Elizabeth's eye's would be closer to dh's but since Elizabeth has pierced ears (no comments on how boys can have pierced ears please... again it's all a matter of preference).... but if we can find a molly easier then we'll do that and possibly down the road turn a kirsten into a boy as well.

Hmmmm we also need to think about making some boy clothes [img]tongue.gif[/img] We want to have a phantom of the opera costume and a pirattes of the Caribbean (dd already has the albums planned out LOL)

I love Larson too!! I know it is American "Girl" but I'd love to see a friend doll of a boy character some time in the future. Anyone remember the Fisher Price My Friend dolls from the late 70's or early 80's? There was Mandy, Becky, Jenny, and a boy named Mikey. We have a Mikey and he is so cute. I gave him to DS when he was little and he was a great friend/companion for him as a toddler.

I actually bought an 18" Battat doll from Ebay. At the time I was not able to get Jack so I bought a girl doll and cut her hair.
I'm going to give him to my DS, soon to be 7, for his birthday. He wants a boy AG so he can play dolls with my DD, soon to be 9.
I couldn't bring myself to cut the hair of an AG doll. [img]smile.gif[/img]
I also tried the downy dunk on the Battat doll prior to the AG dolls. It worked well.

I bought both my girls Battat "Jack" dolls from ebay for Christmas. Actually, he's pretty cute--and they really seem to like having a boy to go with their girls.

I'm not sure I could cut a real AGs hair--and most of their faces look too "feminine" in coloring to pass for a boy IMHO.
